A love of nature brought Susan Link to Muskoka over 10 years ago. She soon realized, however, that the beaches, trails, outdoor markets, street festivals, and Sunday night music aren't the only thing that makes Muskoka a perfect place to live. It's also the people - courteous and helpful, friendly but respectful of other people’s privacy - a wonderful assortment of people looking for the same life style as she was.
When Susan first moved to Muskoka, she was telling someone about some youths in a bad neighborhood in Toronto. "Don’t be fooled" he said, "there are some bad kids here too. Just the other day I saw a kid unwrap a popsicle and drop the paper on the sidewalk right in front of my office!" It's all relative, isn't it?
Originally from Toronto, Susan has lived all over Canada. (xx moves over xx years…can you imagine that!) She has survived enough moves to bring a very personal understanding of what we go through when looking for a new house or selling our old one. You will find her experience to be informed and comforting.
She understands that when you are looking for a house you're looking for more than a three bedroom bungalow, you are looking for a home - a place that feels just right for you. That it will be a different place for someone with three children and a dog, than it is for a retiring couple with grandchildren, or a single artist.
Also, because she has moved with kids, dogs, cats, birds and turtles while working full time, Susan understands the challenges of trying to have everything ready for showings and open houses. She has spent many summer holidays at many different style cottages, and definitely understands the difference between a cottage suitable for four year olds and one geared to a senior with a walker, or a young couple wanting a retreat from the city.
Susan knows Muskoka. She knows the neighborhoods, the houses, the cottages and the rhythms of Muskoka life. She will help you determine the right price for your house and find you another for the right price. Whether you are looking for a cottage or a home, anxious to sell the one you have, or just beginning to think about a move, call Susan for a chat. Knowing firsthand the unique qualities of year-round and seasonal residents, she will happily help you explore all your options in a friendly, pressure-free zone!
